Washing machines are more expensive than ever, and according to a Consumer Reports study, some top loading models don't get clothes as clean as they should. The reason: new energy efficiency standards for washing machines that went into effect this year.
So, what should an agitated consumer do?
If the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has it's way, you'll air that dirty laundry, or more specifically, mail your dingy underwear to the Undersecretary of Energy.
