State Labor Law Poster Changes
Posted by Janet Attard

Several states have made changes to their labor law posters this summer. The states that have made changes that employers are required to post are

Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, South Dakota, Virginia and Wisconsin.

In most of the states, an increase in the minimum wage rate is responsible for the changes. In some states, though, the changes are due to new or changed postings that are unrelated to the minimum wage rate.
State minimum wage and other posters are usually available as a download from the state agency that issues the poster. Businesses that prefer to post attractive, laminated posters that combine state and federal laws onto laminated posters can buy labor law posters from private companies such as Business Know-How.
