M & A Deal Terms Study Released
Posted by Janet Attard
If you're involved with a merger or acquisition either on a one-time basis or as an ongoing part of your business, one of the questions you're likely to have is how the terms of the deal(s) match up with industry standards. The American Bar Association publishes a bi-annual study of deal terms for publicly filed deals. Now, thanks to a new study published by Shareholder Representative Services (SRS), there's a complementary analysis available for non-public M&A deals.
The study, 2010 SRS M&A Deal Terms Study, surveys the terms of 88 private-target acquisition agreements in transactions for which SRS served as the shareholder representative. It includes data from multiple industries and deal sizes, and is a valuable tool for M&A attorneys, venture capital, and owners looking to exit to larger companies. You can download the summary and register to receive the full 2010 SRS M&A Deal Terms Study at the SRS website.
