Labor Law Poster Changes for 2012

Are your labor law posters up to date? 12 states have new required changes to labor law postings. In addition the federal government has a pending requirement to display a poster informing employees of their rights under the NLRA.

July Jobs Report: Less Down Is Still Down

The numbers are still nothing to cheer about -- especially among the 279,000 small and midsize business employees affected -- but at the very least, fewer jobs were lost last month than reported for June, according to the ADP's latest National Employment Report.

FMLA Final Rule Published

The U.S. Department of Labor has published a final rule to update the regulations under the 15-year-old Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) — a measure that will help workers and their employers better understand their rights and responsibilities, and speed the implementation of a new law that expands FMLA coverage for military family members.

OSHA Releases New It's the Law Poster

Important News For Employers The US Department of Labor released a new OSHA "It's the Law" poster this week. The new poster reminds employers of their two most basic responsibilities-furnishing a place of employment free from recognized hazards, and complying with OSHA's hazard-specific health and safety standards. The OSHA poster, also known as the OSHA notice of employee rights, is required to be displayed in every workplace in America.
