Previous: Focus on the Customer By Janet Attard When you buy online, it’s easy to misplace the receipt. You see a receipt on screen, print it (if you remember) then close the browser window and the receipt – and the website from which you made the purchase are gone. Solve the problem: Use one email address whenever you order online. Make it a unique email address if possible. Then create a folder in your inbox called Receipts or some other name you’ll be able to spot. (I named my online receipts folder ZZReceipts. That way I know it will always be the bottom folder in my list of folders in the Outlook inbox.) When you get your receipt or confirmation in email, drag them into the receipts folder you created. Or if you used a unique email address for all purchases, set up a rule to automatically move the receipt into the receipts folder. That way, when you need to find your order number, get the confirmation for the hotel you’re staying at, or find the confirmation number to get your online boarding pass, you won’t have to wade through thousands of emails in your general inbox folder. You can quickly scan or search your receipts folder for the purchase and the information you need. Posted by Janet Attard on August 5, 2008 at 9:23 PM | Comments (2)Comments Great Idea thanks...
