Reading the small print on business contracts is the last thing most small business owners want to do. Most people just read what they think is the important stuff and assume the rest is legal mumbo jumbo that will never apply to them. Unfortunately, as hard as it is to muddle through, all that "stuff" in the middle probably contains information you need to know.

Read the small print
Having a lawyer look over any contract you enter into is a great idea, but it's not an absolute guarantee against misunderstandings. Only you know what was said before the contract was drawn up and whether the contract meets your expectations.
