Make Your Business Look Bigger
by Janet Attard
Big corporations have one person who gets all inquiries on a web site for sales, someone else who gets press inquiries, someone else who handles billing, support, etc. You can look bigger by doing the same thing. Instead of having all mail go to one single email address, set up aliases for key "departments" in the company. You might have sales@yourname.com, support@yourname.com, investorrelations@yourname.com. The mail can all get forwarded to you, but the people who sent the mail will never know unless you tell them. An added benefit: when someone leaves your company and their email address is erased, mail won't get sent back unread to the sender. It will go to whomever is assigned to the read the mail coming from the email alias account.
