Beverly Kaye, coauthor of Love
'Em or Lose 'Em: Getting Good People to Stay (Berrett-Koehler,
October 1999), is a nationally recognized expert in organizational,
management, and career development, and founder and president of Career
Systems International.
A sought-after consultant,
trainer, and speaker, Kaye counts American Express, Bank of America,
Chevron, Chrysler, Dow Corning, Marriott International, Nortel, and Sears
among her many corporate clients.
She is author of Up Is Not the
Only Way (Davies-Black, 1997) and coauthor of Designing Career
Development Systems (Jossey-Bass, 1986), as well as a popular resource
for national media such as The New York Times, Time, Fortune, and a
variety of professional magazines.
Kaye attended graduate school at
the Sloan School of Management and earned a doctorate degree from UCLA. An
active member of the American Society for Training & Development, she
received the society's National Career Development Award and, most
recently, the Best Practice Award for her ongoing, global work with Dow
Corning. She lives near Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
Sharon Jordan-Evans,

(Berrett-Koehler, October 1999), is founder and president of the Jordan
Evans Group, a leading organizational development and executive coaching
firm.
A prominent consultant and
speaker, Jordan-Evans has worked with a diverse group of clients in North
America, Europe, and Australia, including AT&T, Best Western
International, GTE, Turner Broadcasting, and Universal Studios. Prior to
launching her own consulting group, she served as senior vice president
and consulting partner for Drake Beam Morin, Inc., an international leader
in transition management consulting.
Jordan-Evans holds a master's
degree in organizational development from Central Washington University
and is an active member of the Organization Development Network, Human
Resources Planning Society, and International Coach Federation. She lives
near Los Angeles with her husband and has four grown children.
