Take a Pre-Paid Calling Card Along

by

Have you ever wondered what anyone would use a prepaid calling card for besides a gift?

Well, one very good use of a calling card is to keep telephone costs down when traveling. A prepaid calling card will save you money over the high surcharges hotels add to phone calls dialed directly from your room.

It will usually be cheaper to use a prepaid calling card instead of a phone company calling card to make short calls, too.. For instance, if your telephone company tacks on a $1.00 fee to each call charged to your calling card, and the prepaid calling card cost is 30 cents a minute, you'll save 30 cents on each 2 minute call by using a prepaid calling card.

Of course, if you haven't used up all your minutes for the month on your cell phone and no roaming fees to worry about, the cell phone will be less expensive to use.
