Attention Grandparents and Moms and Dads! Bestselling author Steve Martin’s new children’s book is out in time for holiday gift giving.

In addition to being a celebrated entertainer, Martin is also a talented banjo player. In Late for School, he brings both his comedic writing ability and a song for adults and children to share.

Martin’s Grammy-winning banjo and vocal performance on the enclosed CD captures a young boy’s mad dash for school after he’s overslept.

The narrative is fleshed out with C. F. Payne’s hilarious illustrations. Payne, a renowned illustrator of children’s books is also the Chair of the Illustration department of Columbus College of Art and Design.

This funny and easy to read book is a story and a song that kids and adults alike are sure to enjoy again and again.
