Labor Law Poster Changes for 2012

Are your labor law posters up to date? 12 states have new required changes to labor law postings. In addition the federal government has a pending requirement to display a poster informing employees of their rights under the NLRA.

Hurricane Irene Aftermath on Long Island

As you probably heard on the news, Long Island got through Hurricane Irene with a lot less damage than we anticipated. On both the North Shore and the South Shore, there was extensive flooding and damage, but in areas that weren't affected by the storm surge, the issue was downed trees - and the resulting power outages. The one below is a rather "small" tree that split and hung over the wires on a side street near our office. There was a huge tree down hanging on the power lines and stretched across the 4-lane main road near the office...
